The new Chocolate Java Mint Frappuccino blended beverage features Starbucks Frappuccino roast coffee, sweet chocolate, and mint flavors blended with rich Frappuccino chips. The beverage is finished with a layer of mocha sauce, whipped cream, and a chocolate cookie mint sprinkle topping.

49ers Will Face Chiefs in Super Bowl

The San Francisco 49ers clinched a Super Bowl berth with an improbable 34-31 win against the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship Game.

The Niners rallied back from a 24-7 halftime deficit by outscoring the Lions, 27-10 in the second half, which included 17 consecutive points in the third quarter. Running back Christian McCaffrey recorded 132 all-purpose yards (90 rushing, 42 receiving) and two touchdowns.

Quarterback Brock Purdy threw for 267 yards, one touchdown and one interception on 20 of 31 passing, while also recording 48 yards on five rushing attempts.

The Niners will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII, which will be a rematch of San Francisco’s last Super Bowl appearance in 2020. The Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens, 17-10, in the AFC Championship Game hours earlier.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw for 241 yards and one touchdown on 30 of 39 passing. Tight end Travis Kelce recorded 11 receptions for 116 yards, which included the 19-yard touchdown from Mahomes on the Chiefs’ opening drive.

Shohei Ohtani Signs with Dodgers

The most closely followed free agency in MLB history concluded Saturday when the two-way star reached agreement with the Dodgers on a 10-year contract worth a record $700 million.

Ohtani announced his decision in a statement.

“To all the fans and everyone involved in the baseball world, I apologize for taking so long to come to a decision,” Ohtani said. “I have decided to choose the Dodgers as my next team.”

Ohtani’s deal includes “unprecedented” deferrals — including the majority of his salary, according to sources — allowing the Dodgers the financial flexibility for other moves.

Ohtani, 29, had no shortage of suitors, including at one point the Mets.

Ohtani, with the Angels, won his second American League MVP award last season after posting a .304/.412/.654 slash line with 44 homers and 95 RBIs in 135 games.

Mahomes and Kelce Break Brady and Gronk’s Record

Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady praised Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce after the duo broke his and longtime New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammate Rob Gronkowski‘s record.

Mahomes and Kelce connected twice on touchdowns during the Chiefs’ 27-24 AFC Divisional Round win against the Buffalo Bills for their 15th and 16th playoff touchdowns as a duo, which tied, then surpassed the previous record held by Brady and Gronkowski.

Honda Recalls Nearly 250K Vehicles

Honda issued a recall for 250,000 vehicles because of a manufacturing error that could damage the engine.

The recall covers the 2015-2020 Acura TLX, 2016-2020 Acura MDX, 2016 and 2018-2019 Pilot, 2017 and 2019 Ridgeline, and 2018-2019 Odyssey vehicles.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that “the connecting rod bearing in the engine may wear and seize, damaging the engine.”

This could cause the engine to stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.

Owners will be able to take their vehicle to a dealer, where technicians will inspect and repair the engine. If the engine is damaged beyond repair, they will replace it free of charge.
