Jaguars Overwhelm Jets From Start to Finish in 48-20 Rout

The Jaguars may or may not ever earn respect. What they’re doing in the meantime is winning – and doing so in increasingly impressive fashion, with a quarterback playing the same way.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence passed for career-high 5 touchdowns and ran for another as the surging, AFC South-leading Jaguars turned in yet another one-sided late-season victory in front of 60,815 at EverBank Stadium Sunday afternoon.

The Jets lost ugly to the Jags – further cementing their spot as one of the worst teams in the NFL. The Jets also further solidified their draft position, which is now looking like it could be in the top five.

The Jets drop to 3-11 on the season. Now the Jets prepare to go on the road to face the New Orleans Saints next week.

Pete Alonso Leaving Mets to Sign 5 Year Deal With Orioles

The contract comes a year after Alonso, 30, struggled to secure a long-term deal on the free-agent market. With the move, the Orioles finally have their big-name free agent.

Alonso fits in well with the Orioles. Alonso immediately gives the team a middle-of-the-order power bat capable of posting big numbers regardless of the ballpark. That should work out well in Baltimore, where righties have had a tough time hitting home runs since the team altered the wall in left field.

After failing to land the mega-deal he desired last offseason, Alonso signed a two-year, $54 million pact to return to the New York Mets. That deal contained an opt-out  after the first year, allowing Alonso to test the free-agent waters again.

Hostess Just Combined 2 of Its Fan-Favorite Treats Into One

Breakfast enthusiasts and Hostess fans alike have reason to rejoice as the iconic brand unveils its latest innovation: Hostess HoneyBun Donettes. Combining two fan-favorite breakfast snacks into one treat, the HoneyBun Donettes promise a sweet and satisfying start to the day.

Bringing together the warm cinnamon and sweet vanilla glaze flavor of Hostess HoneyBuns with the soft, fluffy texture of Hostess Donettes, this new creation offers a tantalizing twist on traditional breakfast fare. What’s more, the HoneyBun Donettes are crafted without high-fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, or artificial flavors, catering to consumers’ growing demand for wholesome yet indulgent options.

This latest mashup marks only the second of its kind in recent Hostess snacking history, following the success of last year’s Hostess Ding Dongs x Twinkies Mashups. With the launch of HoneyBun Donettes, Hostess aims to replicate the excitement and delight generated by its previous flavor fusion.

Miami Dolphins Dominate Hapless New York Jets

The first half saw the Jets defense annihilated. The  Dolphins moved the ball at will early in the game as they scored touchdowns on each of their first three possessions.

Isaiah Williams briefly gave the Jets hope with a 78  yard punt return to cut the Dolphins lead to 21 – 7. It was the lone bright spot for the Jets.

Jets QB Tyrod Taylor left the game with an injury, replaced under center by undrafted rookie Brady Cook.

The Dolphins took over and Jaylen Wright led a long, run-dominated, clock chewing drive. With a little more than six minutes remaining in the game the Dolphins put it away. At 31 – 10, the rest of the game was garbage time.

Old friend Zach Wilson came on in mop up duty for the Dolphins. It was his first appearance in an NFL game since he left the Jets. Wilson led a late field goal drive to add insult to injury and bring the final score to 34 – 10.

The Jets drop to 3-10 on the season. Now the Jets prepare to go on the road to face the Jacksonville Jaguars next week.
